LPG

LPG, which is used as an automotive fuel, has been widely used in our country since 1985 under the name of Autogas. Autogas is the most preferred fuel by passenger car users in Turkey due to its widespread station network, high performance, and affordable price compared to gasoline, safety and environmentally friendly features.

In Turkey, 40% of passenger cars use Autogas. Over 3 million tons of Autogas is sold annually and consumed by more than 4.7 million vehicles.

Information about LPG;

LPG, or Liquefied Petroleum Gas, is a hydrocarbon-based fuel. It is extracted during the distillation of crude oil in refineries or by separating natural gas from oil deposits. As a colorless, odorless, and denser-than-air gas, LPG is highly flammable. Thanks to its density, petroleum gas can be easily compressed and liquefied under pressure, allowing it to be stored and transported in steel cylinders.

It is not poisonous, but in case of leakage, as it spreads rapidly into the environment, it displaces oxygen in the environment and reduces the amount of oxygen in the environment, making breathing difficult and can cause suffocation. It is used for automotive fuel (Autogas), heating, lighting as well as cooking.
